Daphene (born in Haiti ) and Rodney (African-American) wanted to have an elegant affair for all of their guests to remember.  With so many family members traveling from Haiti, Daphene wanted them to see DC through her eyes and to finally see the man she fell in love with. They chose the Woman's National Democratic Club, nestled right off Dupont Circle. They incorporated his African heritage with the jumping of the broom and her heritage by dancing to Haitian Kompa music (along with tunes from Frank Sinatra).
Congratulations Daphene & Rodney!  See their wedding soon in “Upscale” magazine!

Ponneh (Iranian) and Scott (American) wanted to have a day filled with friends, food and traditions. Wanting to have both a “Western” ceremony and a Persian ceremony... they decided to celebrate their love at George Washington's River Farm in Alexandria , VA. Scott was working in Thailand and got to know and love the culture there. The couple wanted to incorporate Thai traditions in both the “Western” ceremony and at the reception. Ponneh wanted to show her family's Persian traditions including the sofreh ye-aqd (wedding cloth) and delectable delights from her mom for cocktail hour! Congratulations Ponneh & Scott!  See their wedding in the Winter 2008 edition of My day Magazine!
