Since the pandemic hit, couples everywhere have been wondering whether to postpone, reschedule or cancel their weddings. Many couples have decided to postpone the big party and have a small elopement instead.
You don’t have to have everything at this elopement. In fact, in DC, did you know you can self-officiate? Here is the link to the application in DC.
Get some fun masks and go have a picnic like this couple did back on July 3rd! They were going to have their wedding on 10/10/2020 this year – which was an uber-popular date. They decided with their 200 person wedding, it made more sense to postpone it 2021 with the hope of a vaccine in the 1st quarter. So they decided to self-officiate and do it all over again in 2021 with everyone! The elopement was with his brother and her sister only along with a bouquet by us and Thomas Van Veen Photography as their photographer.
We will be posting more of our elopements and advice for weddings in 2020 soon – so stay tuned!
Thanks for making the decision to wait until next year for the in face party. Hopefully we can all be together. Nevertheless congratulations!! Love Pops
Just love the love you share and that you that did it your way. It is all so beautiful.
Love you bunches, Grandma and Wayne
I am all in favor of small elopements and waiting to have a reception party later. It helps couples keep the special date they picked for their future anniversaries while still promising their friends and family a chance to celebrate the newlyweds in the future.
