Today’s my birthday and I have decided to do a post about me and what I like. Hey – I don’t do it often, but it gives you a glimpse into how I think and how I love things! I’ll start with this photo above. I have always been fascinated with politics and how one person can have so much power. Yes – all presidents and their personalities fascinate me, but the Kennedy Legacy is one that continues to fascinate me. I know if I lived in his time, I would have loved JFK! I loved his son and still wonder what he would have been had he lived and not had such an untimely death.
I have recently fallen in love with my iPad app called Paper by FiftyThree. There are a couple of reasons I love this app. First and foremost, my grandmother was an artist. She even traveled on a large ocean liner – much like the Titanic (thank God it was not the Titanic) and studied art in Europe in the beginning of the 1900’s. I never really got to see much of her art, but I always dreamed of painting and sketching and have NEVER been good at it. This app has helped me to dream a little with my grandmother again. Her name was Louise (my middle name) and she was my favorite thing in life when I was a little girl. I remember dressing up in her jewels and fun shoes and gorgeous dresses and I would act like I was a host of a TV show to tell her all about what I was learning. She would sit there patiently and laugh and play along with me. Second, I love this app as it has helped me sketch designs for my clients and dream a little for future ideas for my home.
This is my wedding cake from June of 2008. My style has not changed much since. Maybe just a tad…but I love pretty blues and greens and quirky cakes. I am also digging pink and blue these days. I love teal tones with gray accents. That’s just me!
This is me with my family! Yep, a fantastic 11 year old and a beautiful 1 year old and an incredibly handsome husband is what I have!
I have a lot and not needing anything for my birthday…except to celebrate!
Stay tuned for more wedding loveliness tomorrow!
