Most of you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I  have had several friends that have been diagnosed with breast cancer and have won the fight!  Every October, the world (hopefully) stops to think about this very invasive cancer and wonders – what can I do?  Click on the Susan G. Komen information box below for more information!

First and foremost, get checked (yes both men and women can get breast cancer).  Get checked and check yourself regularly.  If you don’t know how to – ask your doctor!!!!  Please!

Educate yourself – find out what is going on in your community in regards to breast cancer awareness or volunteer.

Buy Stuff!  Yes – you will see all sorts of deals pertaining to Breast Cancer Awareness Month that not only give you a discount, but a portion of the proceeds go to breast cancer research organizations.  In fact, here are a few deals that I am diggin’.

Winter is fast approaching (at least it feels that way here in DC!)  Look at these yummy cashmere  throws from Williams Sonoma:

Need a pashmina for your bridesmaids?  Pashmina International is donating a portion of the proceeds from all of their pink pashminas to  the International Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Need some quick thank you cards?  Go to the Pink Ribbon Shop and order these cute notecards – pretty much good for writing any kind of personal note!

Post a comment about what you are doing for Breast Cancer Awareness!  Would love to know!
