We seriously had a gorgeous wedding earlier this fall at the Lee Fendall House! I loved the grapevine wreath we made for them that included fresh local hydrangea and gomphrena – the perfect welcome arrangement for the rest of the decor at this historic home in Alexandria, Virginia!
Right inside the door was their welcome/escort card table! I absolutely loved this design we came up with for them. Local birdseed in the vase (that we later served to the birds near our workshop!) with sprawling manzanita branches and hanging Moroccan style red votives. Then at the base of the vase we used our antique clear and brown medicine bottles filled with fall blooms!
We loved the natural wood chairs along with our antique mason jars hanging from them filled with local hydrangea and hanging burgundy amaranths.
The wedding party bouquets were just quintessential fall! The bridesmaids bouquets consisted of local hydrangea, dahlias and scabiosa. The bridal bouquet had local hydrangea, dahlias, ranunculus, cosmos, scabiosa and fern curls.
Seriously one of my favorite centerpieces of the season!!! These large arrangements had local hydrangea, lotus pods, celosia (also known as coxcomb), gomphrena, fern curls and dahlias.
There were many more details from the wedding – as soon as I get the professional photos back – we will post them here!
It was truly beautiful! One of our favorites of the fall.
Really great use of the flowers! The celosia and hydrangeas are WONDERFUL!
